Actions

🤷 Why?

Well, originally this post started as a test posting during the early stages of the development of the platform (which is why the first posts didn't respect the rules that were added much later), as the team didn't want to delete it, we expanded its goal to do something in the future.

What will happen when we reach 10.000? Nobody knows, do they? Well anyway, it should be something interesting so here we go!

📜 Rules

  • You can only go up by 1 each time.
  • You can't reply twice in a row.
  • The number will never reset.

Is that infinite scroll? Yes, let us know what you think!

Actions

The kind of scroll we wanted for Brickrr and specifically the infinite scroll is something we've been thinking about for a while, finally we've implemented it, although there are still some things to fix/improve but before that we'd like to know what you think about this change, do you like it? do you hate it? Let us know how you feel about it so we can make a final decision.

This week in the IOTW (IDEA of The Week) section we find the project of Marcel Steeman, an interesting project that certainly caught our attention, for decades cars have dominated the cities, leaving a reduced space to other means of transport and green spaces, it is a fact that LEGO cities try to be a true reflection of society and its habits. Perhaps this is the reason why for so long LEGO City has been dominated by cars, but cities continue to evolve and it has become increasingly evident that the famous Danish company had to adapt to the new urban changes. Among them, to give bikes, already considered the mobility of the new world, the importance they deserve.

Therefore Marcel Steeman has presented a new project in LEGO IDEAS that aims precisely to adapt to these changes in the cities and give a greater importance to bikes through a considerable bike lane, which has nothing to do with the solution that LEGO had presented a few months ago, after many requests LEGO decided to include a thin blue bike lane of only two studs wide, For Marcel Steeman this was not enough and he was willing to remodel that idea using precisely the new system of road plates that LEGO City had presented for the year (2021), using it as a base and adding new elements to what would be the "set" some bike racks, a bike with child seat and, most importantly, big, wide and blue bike lanes. No doubt these bike lanes bring the realism of today's cities, two-way lanes that allow LEGO cities to adapt to new changes.

[upl-image-preview url=https://cdn.brickzip.com/uploads/2022-10-07/1665168192-270644-iotw1-3.jpg]

So far Marcel Steeman idea has been a great success, accumulating more than 5,500 votes and obtaining more than 770 extra days, which will undoubtedly allow him to reach the goal of 10,000 votes for review by LEGO. 000 for review by LEGO, from Brickzip we dare to say that at the rate the votes are coming in we should see this project for review in the coming months, where we could also live an unprecedented situation in terms of accepted LEGO IDEAS projects and is that Marcel Steeman project is directly focused on the LEGO theme known as LEGO City, we could see a LEGO IDEAS project being introduced in an official LEGO theme in this case LEGO City? It's certainly a good question that LEGO probably hasn't even considered yet.

This week, in the IOTW (IDEA of The Week) section, we have the pleasure of reviewing the "Community" project by the successful designer @bulldoozer, who this time brings us an idea inspired by the well-known series Community (which by the way, I personally recommend it 😉).

This set, based on Greendale Community College, tries to recall some of the most iconic moments of the series, from epic paintball battles and pillow forts, to fried spaceships in Kentucky and everything in between.

In addition, its designer has gone into great detail with the numerous hidden easter eggs and references to beloved episodes, this set will allow fans to build and relive their favourite moments from the series.

You can hang out with the gang in Group F's study room, try out new costumes in the Dean's office or search for your lost stuff in the ventilation system. Along the way you can storm Fort Hawthorne, jump over fiery lava, avoid a zombie apocalypse or escape your evil doppelgangers from the darkest timeline - the possibilities are endless!

On these adventures you'll be joined by minifigures Jeff, Britta, Annie, Shirley, Pierce, Troy, Abed, Dean Pelton and Chang as they journey through the world's craziest educational institution. Are they all real LEGO minifigures or is this just happening in Abed's mind? No one can know for sure.

About Community

Community is a creative, meta-humor comedy series that has been consistently ranked as one of the most inventive and original shows in television history. While it may appear to be a simple comedy set at a community college, it is actually a densely-layered series that subverts expectations of what a sitcom is and can be. Each episode is like a mini-movie that explores and parodies the tropes of pop culture and cinema. Across six seasons and two networks, Community took aim at nearly every kind of story genre -- from Spaghetti Western movies, to zombie thrillers, to claymation Christmas specials, to 8-bit video games, to science-fiction epics about the multiverse.

Community was initially produced by Dan Harmon (of Rick and Morty fame) and the Russo Brothers (Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame). It starred Joel McHale, Donald Glover, Alison Brie, Yvette Nicole Brown, Gillian Jacobs, Jim Rash, Danny Pudi, Ken Jeong, and Chevy Chase.

While the series ended in 2015, the Community’s ever-growing fan base has remained passionate and active online - creating fan art, an annual convention, and even video games. The show has also had a major resurgence in recent years thanks to Netflix. Fans have also been actively campaigning for a Community movie. As of 2022, talks are finally happening for a feature film.

[upl-image-preview url=https://cdn.brickzip.com/uploads/2022-10-07/1665168192-270644-iotw1-3.jpg]
