Whenever I get a Lego set, there no baseplates anymore! I also kind of miss them. But I think they are going to be removed. What are thoughts on this?

What was your first LEGO set?
In my case the first LEGO set I had was the 2002 LEGO City Police Headquarters - 6636, to be exact, a big one! What was your first LEGO set or sets (if you don't remember exactly)? I'd be curious to know 👀
