Account and data deletion

How Brickzip users can request deletion of their account and associated personal data from inside the app or from the web.

How to request deletion

You can request deletion of your Brickzip account and associated personal data at any time.

  • From inside Brickzip: sign in, open Account settings, then use the Account and data deletion link.
  • From the web: open brickzip.com/data-deletion and email [email protected] using the account email address when possible.
  • If you cannot access the account email, include the username, profile URL, approximate account creation date, and any information needed to verify that you control the account.
  • If you want only some data deleted, describe the specific content, URLs, media, messages, or collections involved.

What deletion covers

  • We delete or de-identify account identifiers such as email address, authentication records, sessions, profile details, private preferences, bookmarks, private collections, follows, and non-public account settings.
  • We remove or de-identify personal attribution on associated records where practical, including uploaded media, reports, moderation records, notifications, and support correspondence.
  • Public posts, replies, catalog contributions, MOCs, events, public collections, public media, and public discussions may remain when needed to preserve community context, catalog integrity, legal records, or safety history.
  • Content that remains after account deletion should no longer identify you directly unless retention is legally required or the content itself still contains information you chose to publish.

Data we may retain

  • Security, fraud-prevention, moderation, audit, legal, tax, payment, and dispute records may be retained when necessary and permitted by law.
  • Affiliate click records, analytics records, price snapshots, email delivery logs, anti-spam signals, and background job logs are retained under operational retention windows and are deleted or aggregated when no longer needed.
  • Backup copies and caches may persist temporarily until backup rotation, restoration windows, cache expiry, or disaster-recovery processes complete.
  • Third-party services, app stores, payment providers, sellers, and external sites may retain their own records under their own policies.

Timing and verification

  • We may ask you to verify account ownership before processing deletion to prevent unauthorized account loss.
  • We aim to acknowledge deletion requests within 7 days and complete verified requests within 30 days, unless a longer period is required for legal, security, backup, or dispute reasons.
  • When a request is complete, we will confirm the outcome or explain what could not be deleted and why.
  • Deletion is generally irreversible once completed. Export or save anything you need before requesting deletion.

Subscriptions and app stores

  • Deleting a Brickzip account does not automatically cancel subscriptions or payments handled by Google Play, Apple, Stripe, or another payment provider.
  • Cancel active subscriptions through the app store, payment provider, or checkout account that processed the purchase.
  • If you need help matching a payment to a Brickzip account, contact [email protected] or [email protected] with the payment provider, receipt date, and account email.
